Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Expects First Avengers: Infinity War Teaser To Screen Before Thor: Ragnarok

While speaking with ComicBook, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige noted that the first Avengers: Infinity War teaser will likely drop in November.

From the outset, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been inextricably linked together through a series of carefully crafted post-credits scenes – think of how Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury first floated the idea of the Avengers Initiative all the way back in 2008.

It’s a time-honored tradition that has kept audiences in their seats long after the credits roll for the past decade, and though Marvel is unlikely to ditch the end-credits sequence any time soon, the company is not opposed to the more traditional method of using one studio film to champion the oncoming arrival of another. And at least according to Kevin Feige’s most recent estimation, the release of Thor: Ragnarok will herald the first-look teaser for Avengers: Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo’s monolithic Marvel movie that brings Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and many more heroes under the one narrative umbrella.

With so many set photos already littering the interwebs, let’s just hope the prying eyes of the Internet don’t spoil anything too major before Infinity War has a chance to showcase its wares.

Per ComicBook.com, here’s Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige discussing the film’s maiden teaser and, specifically, when it’ll drop.

It’s a good question. I’m not sure. I think it would be late summer, early, mid fall? Ragnarok, probably.

On paper, it certainly makes a lot of sense, particularly when you consider that Taika Waititi’s blockbuster threequel is also said to house the sixth and final Infinity Stone. As for how the events that transpire in Homecoming, Ragnarok, and Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther tee up Infinity War, Feige went on to note that each film is inextricably linked.

Very heavily, as Iron Man and Captain America influenced the first Avengers. More so than the movies leading into Age of Ultron, even. They really build up to that.

Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4th, 2018, and if recent comments are to be believed, it might signal the end for some of the heroes.
