Latest Set Photos For Avengers: Infinity War Find The Sorcerer Supreme In A Spot Of Bother

Benedict Cumberbatch's magician is pinned down by a CG foe in the latest round of set photos for Marvel threequel, Avengers: Infinity War.

What’s the one thing Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Rampage all have in common? You know, besides their large-scale productions and impassioned followings.

Atlanta, of course! All four Hollywood tentpoles are currently shooting scenes within Georgia’s capital city, and though Marvel, Legendary, and New Line have gone to great lengths ito maintain some semblance of secrecy on set, the prying eyes of the Internet are never too far away.

This morning, for instance, Just Jared unearthed the first set pictures from Ant-Man and the Wasp, which found Paul Rudd back in action as the titular Marvel hero. Dressed in civvies and seen running along the sidewalk, the images of Scott Lang were fairly nondescript, but if nothing else, they serve as an exciting reminder that filming on Peyton Reed’s sequel is now underway – and not a moment too soon, given we are now one year out from its theatrical release on July 6th, 2018.

Infinity War, meanwhile, is a completely different ballgame as it brings together a whole host of mascots from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From Iron Man to Black Widow, Hulk to Doctor Strange, the film’s casting docket is arguably worth the price of admission alone, and fans are particularly excited about the return of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme. Strange may hold a minor role in this year’s Thor: Ragnarok (November 3rd), but judging by these latest set photos relayed to us by Just Jared (seen above), it appears as though Marvel’s good Doctor will be getting plenty of screen time when Joe and Anthony Russo’s threequel rolls around.

Avengers: Infinity War will be with us on May 4th, 2018. Next up for the MCU is the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming tomorrow, July 7th, which is reportedly headed for a worldwide opening in the region of $200 million.
