Luke Skywalker is not alone on Ahch-To.
Even before the arrival of Rey (Daisy Ridley), who assumed control of the Millennium Falcon at the tail-end of The Force Awakens, Mark Hamill’s all-powerful Jedi has seemingly been in the company of pint-sized aliens called Porgs. Like an adorable cross between a pug, a puffin and a regular ol’ penguin, these fuzzy critters are sure to become a bona fide fan-favorite by the time Star Wars: The Last Jedi rolls around in December – even if they don’t attract quite the same fandom as BB-8.
However that may be, Making Star Wars has composed a new sketch of a Porg perched on the rusty head of R2-D2. The outlet claims this drawing is an artist’s representation of one of The Last Jedi‘s more light-hearted scenes, writing that, “one of the Porgs lands on Artoo’s head and it is absolutely adorable.” Artoo won’t be the only one to befriend some of Ahch-To’s local wildlife either, after previous reports claimed Chewbacca will getting to know those cutesy little Porgs while Luke schools Rey on the fine art of being a Jedi.
All of this is yet to be confirmed by Disney and Lucasfilm, so treat this Star Wars rumor as just that. Nevertheless, we’ve included said drawing for your consideration:
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be with us on December 15th, and chances are Disney will unveil a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel at D23, which is expected to occupy the Anaheim Convention Center this coming weekend, July 14th–16th. After all, the Mouse House offered up a similar peek behind the curtain of The Force Awakens and Rogue One around this time in their respective productions, and you know what they say about something that isn’t broke.
