Warner Bros. Storms Comic-Con With Epic New Justice League Trailer

Now that the DCEU has had its first unqualified success with Wonder Woman, hopes are running high that Warner Bros. can repeat the trick with Justice League. Though there’ve been some big changes behind the scenes recently, what with The Avengers director Joss Whedon taking over from Zack Snyder for the film’s reshoots, fans are crossing their fingers that this will still be the team-up movie that the League deserve.

Of course, we won’t know for sure whether or not WB has another hit on their hands here until later this year, but if the most recent trailer is any indication, things certainly look promising. As expected, the studio stormed Comic-Con this weekend with a whole host of goodies relating to their DCEU slate, shoving several of their projects into the spotlight, including Justice League – which undoubtedly stole the show with the tantalizing and exciting new footage you’ll see above.

Running for roughly 4 minutes, this extended look at the upcoming blockbuster is absolutely explosive, painting an intriguing picture of what’s in store for us this fall. There’s a lot to dissect, and we’ll be diving into it in a lot more depth a little bit later in a separate article, but what the studio’s provided us with today should definitely be enough to silence the critics.

Though the more lighthearted and fun tone found in previous trailers isn’t as prevalent here, everything else seems to work. The cast have great chemistry, that first look at Steppenwolf no doubt has people pretty excited and it seems that the bulk of the film will be carried by Batman and Wonder Woman, which is expected and makes sense, given their popularity.

Visually, there are some truly stunning shots here as well, and as a lot of people have pointed out, there’s also more color in Justice League than in a lot of Snyder’s other efforts (which might be due to Whedon stepping in to finish things off). Overall, there’s a lot to like about the trailer and as of now, we’re totally on board with the pic.

With $765 million under its gold-plated belt and scores of positive reviews to its name, Wonder Woman stands as a difficult act to follow, but we’ll be able to see what all the fuss is about once Justice League hits theaters on November 17th.
