With much of the industry still reeling from Marvel’s jam-packed Hall H panel – a panel in which Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers: Infinity War all got a shout-out – Collider has pulled together a gallery of beautiful, high-res screenshots from Ragnarok‘s latest and indeed greatest promo. Embedded below, those action shots take you closer to Asgard’s impending destruction, the unruly Goddess of Death known as Hela (Cate Blanchett), and the superhero bromance bubbling between Hulk and the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth.
Stripped of Mjölnir and flung to the other side of the universe, where he winds up on the alien planet of Sakaar, it looks as though Thor will be pushed to the absolute brink once Ragnarok gets going in earnest. But he won’t be going up against Hela alone; as the threequel’s recent sizzle reel attests, Taika Waititi’s galactic adventure sees Thor buddy up with his estranged sibling Loki (Tom Hiddleston), along with the Incredible Hulk and Tessa Thompson’s fearless warrior, Valkyrie. All of that and more is teased within the gallery below, which reaffirms Ragnarok‘s status as one of the best-looking Marvel movies to date.
There’s certainly a lot to digest, but considering that Chris Hemsworth has gone on record about the connective tissue that exists between Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, any Marvel fan worth their salt will consider Taika Waititi’s blockbuster to be essential viewing. Besides, that gladiator match between Thor and Hulk, one that is orchestrated by Jeff Goldblum’s super-stylish Grandmaster, will surely be worth the price of admission alone.
