Batman Meets The Punisher In Awesome New Fan Trailer

What would happen if Batman met The Punisher? Unfortunately, that's not a question we'll ever have answered. At least, not in live action, given that one hails from Marvel and the other from DC, thus ruling out any form of crossover on the big screen.

What would happen if Batman met The Punisher? Unfortunately, that’s not a question we’ll ever have answered. At least, not in live action (the two have crossed paths in the comics), given that one hails from Marvel and the other from DC, thus ruling out any form of crossover on the big screen.

If you ask us though, we’d say that the Bat would emerge victorious, but as this new fan trailer proves, Frank Castle would certainly give him a run for his money. Coming to us by way of talented YouTube user Stryder HD, we see the two iconic comic book characters go toe to toe and the results are electrifying – to say the least.

The pairing of these heroes seems quite natural, as well, given that they have a lot in common. As the protectors of their respective cities, both have lost loved ones to crime and both are also darker characters, dealing with many personal demons. The way they go about taking down their enemies may be different, but they’re more similar than most people would think.

As for this trailer, it pulls footage from the likes of Daredevil, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League to put together a compelling case for a big screen crossover between the two. It’s very well done as far as fan-made trailers go and even has a couple of nice surprises near the end to spice things up a bit. Again, there’s no way we’ll ever see something like this on the big screen, but the video makes for a fun watch that fans of both characters will surely get a kick out of and we definitely suggest checking it out.

As for where we can expect to see these two next, when it comes to The Punisher, he’ll appear in his own solo series later this year (as well as possibly showing up for a brief cameo on The Defenders), while the Bat will take flight again in November, when Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon’s Justice League lands in theatres.

Until then, be sure to take a look at the fan-made trailer up above and feel free to leave us a comment letting us know who you think would win if Batman went up against Frank Castle.
