That’s only continued over the decades as well, as more of Hollywood’s finest have become fans of the franchise and are now clambering to appear in it. This came to a head in The Force Awakenswhich contained more celebrity cameos than you can shake a lightsaber at, and it’s a trend which looks set to continue into Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi, too.

While rumors have continued to circulate in regards to which familiar faces stopped by the set of Episode VIII for a quick cameo, star John Boyega has now come out and confirmed who exactly will be appearing in the film. Speaking during an interview on BBC Radio4, he was asked if British Royal Princes Harry and William have cameos in the blockbuster, to which he replied:

“I’ve had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I’m tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy.”

Though exciting to hear, this is hardly surprising. After all, both the Princes and Hardy have been heavily rumored to be involved in the sequel for months now. It’s still unknown who they’ll be playing, or even if they’ll get any lines, but we can at least confirm that they have cameos, and we imagine that they aren’t the only ones, either. In other words, keep your eyes peeled.

Featuring a more “volatile” Chewbacca and a horde of cutesy alien allies (see: the porgs), Star Wars: The Last Jedi is booked in for release on December 15th. Other Star Wars projects in the works over at the House of Mouse include the as-yet-untitled Han Solo spinoff (May 25th, 2018), Colin Trevorrow’s nascent Episode IX and an Obi-Wan movie, which was just announced yesterday.
