Not surprisingly, some fans have made the leap by imagining what it’d be like to see Owlman on the big screen and, quite frankly, that’d be pretty cool. Basically, he’s an evil version of Batman from Earth-3, but with a bit of a twist. You see, he’s actually Thomas Wayne Jr., a member of the Crime Syndicate of America.

Now, seeing as how we’re kind of dealing with siblings in a loose sense here, you can probably surmise as to why Casey Affleck would be a popular choice for such a role. Controversial comments regarding his brother’s future in the DCEU aside, he’s got serious acting chops of his own.

With that, Reddit user theBatFlashHunter has posted some handsome-looking fan art depicting Casey as Owlman. Well, it’s really just his mouth area, but it’s not like the villain shows too much of his skin to begin with.

As we can see, it looks like Watchmen’s Nite Owl was used as the source for the costume’s texture and such, but it’s pretty spot on when it comes to what we’ve seen in New 52 comics and the animated movie Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. Speaking of which, we highly recommend watching the latter if you’re in need of a basic primer.

Admittedly, this all seems like a pipe dream, but it would present a great foil for Batman if it were ever to be realized. Furthermore, utilizing the Crime Syndicate in a possible Justice League sequel would definitely help in differentiating it from the first film. After all, we’ve yet to see a team of superheroes face a team of supervillains on the silver screen – let alone one from another dimension.
