Truth be told, it’s been a long, meandering journey to release, but the film is almost here now and as we inch closer and closer to November 17th, Warner Bros. is beginning to really kick the marketing machine into high gear. The full-on blitz hasn’t begun just yet, mind you, but things are certainly ramping up. From extended trailers to action-packed promos, there’s been a lot of juicy stuff, but this latest piece of promotional material might just be one of the most exciting things yet – and it doesn’t even hail from the studio.

Coming to us from fan artist extraordinaire Boss Logic, you’ll be able to check out an epic new Justice League poster in the gallery down below (along with two alternate versions and some official ones). Stunning and just as impressive as all of his other work, the one-sheet features big bad Darkseid looming over the city as Superman stands in his way, as the last beacon of hope. Again, this doesn’t come from Warner Bros. and is instead a fan-made poster, but it’s very well done and could certainly pass as the real thing.

What’s important to note here though is that apparently, Darkseid won’t actually be in Justice League. He was, originally, but once Zack Snyder departed and Joss Whedon stepped in, he was cut. Or at least, that’s what a number of reports – unconfirmed reports, mind you – are pointing to. That doesn’t mean that he won’t be showing up in the franchise, though. Just that he’s apparently being saved for a future film.

Whether there’s any truth to that or not, we’ll know quite soon, as Justice League is due to arrive on November 17th. Beyond that though, and aside from locking down a late 2019 release date for Wonder Woman 2, Warner Bros. has been coy about its future plans for the DCEU, but there have been rumblings that David Sandberg’s Shazam movie – a film that is seemingly much more light-heartened when compared to the rest of WB’s superhero output – is next in line to enter production ahead of its debut in the early stages of 2019.
