T.I. Sent Back To Jail For 11 Months

He hadn't been out for long and now he's going back. T.I. was sentenced to jail for 11 months yesterday. Despite his best effort, T.I. couldn't convince the judge otherwise. He was arrested for drug possession, while on probation, last month. The judge felt that while T.I. was out doing community service, talking to kids about not doing drugs or breaking the law, he was doing the opposite of what he was preaching.

He hadn’t been out for long and now he’s going back. T.I. was sentenced to jail for 11 months yesterday. Despite his best effort, T.I. couldn’t convince the judge otherwise. He was arrested for drug possession, while on probation, last month. The judge felt that while T.I. was out doing community service, talking to kids about not doing drugs or breaking the law, he was doing the opposite of what he was preaching.

“I want drugs out of my life. If I can get the treatment and counseling I need … I can beat this,” T.I. told the judge, according to U.S. attorney spokesman Patrick Crosby. “I need help. For me, my mother, my kids, I need the court to give me mercy.”

While it’s bad news for his fans, the law is the law. Perhaps the judge is trying to make an example out of the rapper but still, if you’re on probation you don’t go near drugs, simple as that.

In better news, T.I. also released a new song yesterday and it’s actually pretty good. It’s called Get Back Up and features Chris Brown, check it out here.
