Snoke’s Home Planet Will Feature Briefly In Star Wars: The Last Jedi

New intel on Star Wars: The Last Jedi points to a brief visit to the icy home planet of Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).

Supreme Leader Snoke may be one of the most mysterious beings in all of Star Wars at the moment, but with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December, Rian Johnson has a chance to peel back the curtain on Andy Serkis’ humanoid mega-villain.

True to his word, it’s understood that Johnson plans to unveil most, but not all of Snoke’s backstory, perhaps in an effort to retain the character’s dark and seemingly impenetrable aura. That being said, compared to his towering hologram in The Force Awakens, we fully expect Snoke to hold a more prominent role in The Last Jedi, while the latest speculative tidbit to emerge online claims Johnson’s sci-fi sequel will even pay a visit to Snoke’s icy home planet.

That’s according to YouTuber and all-around Star Wars superfan Mike Zeroh, who asserted that Star Wars: The Last Jedi will offer viewers a fleeting peek at the far-flung and seemingly desolate rock upon introducing the super-sized Supremacy, a Star Destroyer spanning 40km in length.

We have heard that this is a sequence [with] a wide shot for Snoke’s homeworld in which his Supremacy takes off from ground to outer space.

Zeroh’s allegations go on to stress that the Mars-like planet will appear very briefly:

The planet is going to appear like Mars. A red-like planet where all the way north it’s going to be all snow. As you can see in the distance [of the photo] there’s a lot of ice. So this really fits the profile of Snoke’s planet. We’ve also heard that Snoke’s planet, in terms of screen time, will be the most minimal.

With a mid-December release date fast approaching, not to mention those rumors of a new trailer arriving early next month, The Last Jedi rumors are a dime a dozen, and over the past fortnight alone, we’ve curated pieces on Luke’s dark attire, those “inquisitive” porgs, and a potentially grisly accident involving Daisy Ridley’s Rey.

Whatever the case, the war between the Resistance and the First Order will reach a whole new level once Star Wars: The Last Jedi enters theaters on December 15th.
