Ever since Hope Van Dyne discovered a prototype outfit at the end of 2015’s Ant-Man, Marvel fans have been excited to see Evangeline Lilly suit up as the Wasp alongside Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang in next year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. We’ve already seen the actress in a revamped version of the costume in an official promo image, but now some new snaps from the set have revealed the full shebang.

In particular, the photos give us our first look at the Wasp’s helmet and wings. The former is a new addition to the character, who usually goes maskless in the comics, but it is in keeping with the look of the original Wasp seen in Ant-Man, Hope’s mother Janet. The light, translucent wings, meanwhile, are completely faithful to the source material. Those can be seen in a different set of images, courtesy of The Daily Mail.

The photos also give us our first look at Walter Goggins in character as corporate villain Sonny Burch. In the comics, Burch takes over from Darren Cross as head of Cross Industries. As such, it’s likely that Goggins will be similarly filling Corey Stoll’s role as a rival businessman to Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, after Yellow Jacket died at the end of the first movie.

From what we understand, the sequel will focus on the quest to find Janet Van Dyne, who was lost in the Quantum Realm back in the 1960s. Obviously, we know that Janet will be found, as Michelle Pfeiffer has been announced to playing the part. It’s unknown if the actress, returning to the superhero world for the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns, will also suit up as the Wasp at some point in the movie, but we’re sure hoping she does.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is once again directed by Peyton Reed and is set to arrive on July 6th 2018.
