Rumored Snoke/Leia Scene Won’t Take Place In Star Wars: The Last Jedi After All

General Leia Organa needn’t worry about crossing paths with Supreme Leader Snoke.

At least, that’s according to Andy Serkis, who is all set to reprise as the First Order mega-villain come December. Indeed, as one of the lesser-known facets of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Snoke has piqued the curiosity of Star Wars fans for months – years, even – who have been left to dissect every little detail that surfaces online. That fascination reached a whole new level earlier this month thanks to Force Friday II, which brought forth new details on Snoke’s icy home planet, a potential resurrection, and that über Star Destroyer known as the Supremacy.

Stretching 40km across, it’s a super-sized command center on which Andy Serkis’ antagonist governs the First Order, and though there have been signs that Finn and Rose – John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran, respectively – will be dispatched on a “dark mission” to Canto Bight and beyond, Serkis himself has revealed that Snoke and Leia won’t cross paths in The Last Jedi. Not directly, at least.

Speaking with The List (via ComicBook.com) to promote his directorial debut, Breathe, Serkis noted that his seven-foot alien shares no scenes with the late, great Carrie Fisher.

I had no scenes with Carrie but I did get to know her a little bit. She was an incredible human being with a wonderful personality and she’s sadly, sadly missed and everyone who came into contact with her was really touched by her great energy and great sense of humor.

Overseeing Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), based on the actor’s comments, it looks certain that we’ll get to see Snoke in the flesh come December. Serkis continued:

She is a wonderful person and I did have a great time working with the cast and Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson, we’ve had some really great times on it.

With production all wrapped up, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now barrelling down on its December 15th due date, and one might assume that the sequel’s second trailer will be released online sooner rather than later. October 9th, perhaps? Stay tuned for more.
