First Look At I Spit On Your Grave Sequel Deja Vu

Better late than never, right? The iconic and hugely controversial horror film, I Spit On Your Grave, is getting an official sequel, which will act as a direct follow-up to the 1978 original. Titled I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu, it will completely ignore the 2010 remake and the two sequels that followed that. Instead, it'll see actress Camille Keaton, who played writer-turned-killer Jennifer Hills in the classic flick, return to the role after four decades, along with director Meir Zarchi back at the helm.

Instead, it’ll see actress Camille Keaton, who played writer Jennifer Hills in the classic flick, return to the role after four decades, along with director Meir Zarchi back at the helm.

As far as plot details are concerned, Jennifer has become a successful author and lives with her daughter Christy, who’s a model. It’s not long though before her past comes back to haunt them, as the relatives of the men Jennifer killed in I Spit On Your Grave set out for revenge and kidnap both women. Cue the deja vu.

Though a release date, and distributor, elude the sequel, we do have the first image to share with you today, and it can be seen above. The context of the scene is unknown, but the pic features Christy with a man who’s presumably one of her captors. And he doesn’t look too happy with her. That’s all we’ve really got to go on for now, but we imagine that we’ll be seeing I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu at some point in 2018, to tie-in with the 40th anniversary of the original.

At any rate, we’ll be sure to keep you posted as things progress, but in the meantime, feel free to share your initial thoughts on the sequel in the comments section down below.
