Epic Fan Made Poster Gets Us Hyped For This Fall’s DC TV Crossover

With The CW being able to claim serious bragging rights due to the fact that they’re home to a shared DC TV universe, it only makes sense that the various shows populating it not only intermingle here and there, but come together for a full-on crossover each fall. Just last week, the fan base went nuts upon finding out that this year’s offering has been dubbed “Crisis on Earth-X,” therefore making it the most ambitious to date. Not meaning to sound boastful, but we did call this before any official announcement was made.

So, while we wait for more details to surface – and they might because filming should commence shortly – we’ll just have to tide ourselves over, perhaps by falling back on the source material or by rewatching past crossovers. Well, there’s also the animated movie Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, which despite featuring mostly different characters, it wouldn’t surprise us at all if the Arrowverse producers look to it for at least the slightest amount of inspiration. Yes, Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s game-changing classic, Crisis on Infinite Earths, was likely the biggest influence, but a true adaptation would be nearly impossible to achieve on a TV budget – and perhaps even on the big screen.

Luckily, we have one of our favorite fan artists in Boss Logic to come to the rescue. While their effort may not contain as many legitimate Easter eggs as the official poster that was released last week, it is extremely pleasing to the eye, featuring some of the many heroes who’ll participate in this mashup for that ages. Not only that, but they did a fine job of rendering what Earth-X’s Flash may end up looking like in live action. Be sure to check it out in the gallery down below, along with some of his other work.

2017’s DC TV crossover begins on Monday, November 27 with Supergirl and Arrow, and will conclude on Tuesday, November 28 with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
