As the internet braces for the next Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer, which, depending on when you read this, is either almost here or has already sent shockwaves through our galaxy, Lucasfilm has gone ahead and debuted a new poster for the blockbuster. Taking on that crimson red tone we’ve seen in much of the marketing thus far, it’s a gorgeous piece of work, arriving just in time to get people even more excited as they prepare to open their wallets to snatch up those tickets as soon as they go on sale tonight.
Don’t expect to dig up any juicy plot details from this latest one-sheet, but like we said, it’s a wonderfully designed poster that has none other than Luke Skywalker looming large over the rest of the gang. That’d be Leia, who’s also featured quite prominently, Rey, Poe, Kylo, Finn, Chewie, etc. If you look hard enough you can even make out the droids along with Snoke’s Praetorian Guard, who we’ve been hearing quite a bit about lately.
Check it out down in the gallery below, along with a few other posters for the film, both of the official and fan-made variety.
Admittedly, we have seen some of these shots before used on other promotional material – or at least, very similar shots – but this is still a mighty fine looking one-sheet that should no doubt help whet the appetites of those eager fans who are just counting down the seconds until tonight’s trailer drops.
The war between the Resistance and the First Order will continue when Star Wars: The Last Jedi zooms into theaters on December 15th. It’ll be followed in quick succession by a Han Solo origin story, one poised to continue Lucasfilm’s anthology saga, before the untitled Episode IX debuts in 2019. And that’s December of 2019, now that J.J. Abrams has been drafted in to replace the ousted Colin Trevorrow.
