First, on Monday, October 30, Supergirl begins charting what’ll be surely be a strange journey for Odette Annable’s character of Samantha. Casually introduced to us in the season 3 premiere, we know that the seemingly average woman will go on to become Reign, this year’s big bad. Truth be told, the unassuming villain is something we’ve yet to see from this series, so we could have some great television ahead of us.

Continuing on that note, we also can’t help but draw parallels to Smallville‘s Davis Bloome, who was played by Sam Witwer. If you’ll recall, he was but a handsome paramedic to start out, but the ugly truth was that a Jekyll and Hyde scenario was playing out, for he was really the Kryptonian brute known as Doomsday. Time will tell, but I see this series’ take on Reign as possibly sharing a few similarities.

Anyway, here’s the skinny on “The Faithful”:

CHAD LOWE GUEST STARS — Kara (Melissa Benoist) investigates a secretive new group whose leader, Thomas Coville (guest star Chad Lowe), has a mysterious connection to Supergirl. Meanwhile, Samantha (Odette Annable) feels like she’s letting Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay) down, and J’onn (David Harewood) confesses an old secret. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Katie Rose Rogers.

Then, on Thursday, November 2, we’re in for what appears to be a can’t miss episode of Arrow. Our reason for saying that is because The CW is deliberately being vague with the synopsis just as they were with the one for the season premiere. Seriously, all they’re letting us know about “Reversal” is that Black Siren will launch another attack, so you can bet your bottom dollar that the you-know-what will most certainly hit the fan.

Here’s the official description:

BLACK SIREN STRIKES AGAIN — Just as Oliver (Stephen Amell) starts to get things in order, Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) launches another attack on the citizens of Star City. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Sarah Tarkoff & Emilio Ortega Aldrich.

Tell us, will you be tuning in for either, or both of these episodes? Let us know in the usual place.
