New Fan-Made Halloween Poster Brings Laurie And Michael Together

In exactly a year’s time, we’ll be settling in to watch the blank-faced Michael square off against Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode for the final time in Halloween. When the film releases, it’ll be the fortieth anniversary of John Carpenter’s iconic series, which redefined the horror genre and set out the tone and rhythm that we still see in movies to this day.

When the film releases, it’ll be the fortieth anniversary of John Carpenter’s iconic series, which redefined the genre and set out the tone and rhythm that we still see in movies to this day.

Bringing the project to fruition are Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, two men who you wouldn’t expect to dip their toes into horror, but that’s what makes this whole thing all the more exciting. From what we understand, the film will be a sequel of sorts to the original, disregarding Halloweens 2-8 and Rob Zombie’s mid-2000s reboot. This indicates that they’re eager to shed some of the baggage that’s built up around Laurie and Michael’s various encounters over the course of the franchise.

While it’s still early days – Halloween won’t land in theatres until next October – buzz is already beginning to swirl and after seeing a simple teaser poster over the summer, we’re now left waiting for more. Thankfully, some eager folks are delivering just that.

To date, we’ve already received a few terrific pieces of work when it comes to fan-made posters for the flick and this week, we’ve got yet another. Bringing together both Michael and Laurie, as the psychotic killer stalks his prey, it’s an eerie and creepy one-sheet, which only has us all the more excited for the 2018 film. Check it out for yourself in the gallery below along with a few from the other week. It may not be an official release, but it’s more than enough to whet our appetite.

Halloween is set to slash its way into theatres on October 19th, 2018 – a release date that producer Jason Blum swears by. Not only that, but we have every reason to believe that this updated take on the franchise will fare much better than the last one, as John Carpenter is heavily involved and will also score the pic.

Speaking to Billboard in a recent interview, the legendary filmmaker said:

“I’m an executive producer and it looks clear to me that I’ve made a deal to do the music. There are many options. I’ll be consulting with the director to see what he feels. I could create a new score, we could update the old score and amplify it, or we could combine those two things. I’ll have to see the movie to see what it requires.”

Excited yet? We sure are, and as Michael’s next big screen outing draws closer, we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest updates on it!
