The latest episode of The Walking Dead aired tonight and continued Rick and his allies’ all-out war against the Saviors.

Titled “Some Guy,” the outing picked up where last week’s installment left off, as King Ezekiel and his men (plus, Carol) recover from the massacre they suffered after a failed ambush at a Saviors outpost, which turned out to be where their arsenal was kept. Meanwhile, Rick and Daryl continued on their own mission, with Rick confronting his friend about his recent shoot-first, talk-later mentality.

All in all, it was another solid hour of television for the show, and the plot of season 8 is continuing to move along nicely, leaving us excited to see where things go from here. Speaking of which, we now have the first promo and sneak peek for next week’s installment, titled “The Big Scary U,” which you can check out above and below.

On top of that, the official synopsis for the episode was released a few weeks ago as well and gives us further clues as to what it might deliver.

A close look at Negan and the lives of the Saviors during the conflict through a familiar set of eyes.

It keep things vague, to be sure, but it does reveal the juicy tease that we’ll finally learn more about Negan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s villain has been surprising sparingly used this season and, while that may have been the right decision in the episodes we’ve seen so far, we’re looking forward to getting more from him again.

It’s not expressly stated in the synopsis, but it’s likely that this installment will shed some light on Negan’s past as well. After all, Morgan’s previously confirmed that we’d find out some of the bad guy’s backstory this year, something that was supported by showrunner Scott Gimple, too.

Be sure to tune in when The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, November 12th!
