[Spoiler] Confirmed To Return For Avengers: Infinity War

It's no secret that Avengers: Infinity War is set to feature the biggest ensemble cast in Marvel history - and that's not hyperbole, it's ostensibly fact. Heck, Guardians star Dave Bautista wagers that every current MCU character will have a role to play in Joe and Anthony Russo's 2018 event film. That's an awful lot of costumed crusaders, but will the Russo Brothers find room in their ranks for The Collector, too?

It’s no secret that Avengers: Infinity War is set to feature the biggest ensemble cast in Marvel history – and that’s not hyperbole, it’s ostensibly fact. Heck, Guardians star Dave Bautista wagers that every current MCU character will have a role to play in Joe and Anthony Russo’s 2018 event film. That’s an awful lot of costumed crusaders, but will the Russo Brothers find room in their ranks for The Collector, too?

It certainly seems so. After an Instagram post from earlier this year threatened to spoil the surprise, we now have confirmation that Benicio del Toro will indeed be returning for Infinity War. We know this because of leaked footage that appeared online earlier today, which saw The Collector being interrogated by none other than Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan. It’s currently unclear how large a role the character will play, but we can at least now confirm that he will be involved in some capacity.

If we had to guess, we’d say that The Collector won’t factor too heavily into things. After all, there will be so much going on as it is that we’d be surprised if the Russos have time to give him more than a couple scenes. Still, fans seemed to respond positively to him in Guardians of the Galaxy and will no doubt be pleased to see the character back on the big screen again once Infinity War rolls around next year.

Speaking of which, with that aforementioned leaked footage now out in the wild, we imagine it won’t be long before Marvel releases the very first trailer. After all, studio head Kevin Feige’s promised us that it’d be here before the end of the year and with 2017 quickly drawing to a close, it’s likely just a matter of time now before we get our first, official look at Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War.
