In fact, at 230 million, Marvel’s long-anticipated teaser now holds the title as the most-viewed trailer of all time within the first 24 hours of release, easily surpassing It, which racked up a staggering 197m across the globe in a single day. Word of mouth and a shrewd marketing campaign helped Andy Muschietti’s horror gem float to new heights, but when it comes to Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU’s impassioned customer base – coupled with the pent-up demand – ensured all eyes were trained on Good Morning America this Wednesday past.

But for as impressive and show-stopping as that first trailer was, we unfortunately can’t say the same about the film’s poster, which was as generic and boring as it gets. First shared by Tom Holland, it resembled the initial one-sheets we got for both Avengers and its divisive sequel Age of Ultron, with the over-sized A looming large. But whereas Avengers was more concerned with assembling Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Age of Ultron pit those same costumed crusaders against a mechanized threat, Infinity War expands into cosmic territory, as the likes of Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy all begin to file under the one narrative umbrella.

You wouldn’t know it from that aforementioned poster, though, as it didn’t show off any of our favorite heroes. Which is why we’re so pleased we have talented fans to make up for Marvel’s uninspired design. Seen in the gallery below are two, brand new fan-made one-sheets for Infinity War (along with a few from last month) that are eons better than what the studio gave us earlier this week. Of course, what Holland shared was just a teaser and we’ll no doubt get a more fleshed out poster in the months to come, but for now, these should tide eager fans over.

Poised to shake the MCU down to its very foundations, before Avengers 4 arrives to finish the job in 2019, Infinity War is the culmination of a ten-year movie arc and after that record-breaking first trailer, you can bet that anticipation is at an all-time high now. Not only that, but if the film’s official plot synopsis (below) is to be believed, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be facing their deadliest showdown, ever.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

I think it’s safe to say that we all feel like May 4th, 2018 can’t come soon enough.
