The Cast Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi Get Classy For Gorgeous Vogue Photoshoot

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a surprisingly good eye for fashion and couture. In the casino sequence on Canto Bight, for instance, Finn and Rose encounter the 1%'ers of the Star Wars universe, all dressed in the galaxy's finest and most expensive clothing. It looks as though whoever designed the costumes for this sequence had some fun in imagining the most extreme outfits they could.

Now, back on Earth, the key players of The Last Jedi have gotten their own opportunity to class the place up, with the British Vogue magazine squeezing the cast (plus director Rian Johnson and producer Ram Bergman) into some fine looking suits and gowns. Included here are John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Laura Dern, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleason, Benicio Del Toro and more. Notable by her absence though is Daisy Ridley, who was presumably otherwise engaged on the day of the shoot.

The background here is a moody black backdrop criss-crossed with lightsaber-esque fluorescent tubing, a combination that’s subtly and appropriately Star Wars-y. Everyone looks cool as hell, too, particularly Boyega and Isaac, with Mark Hamill looking almost as if he’s auditioning to be the next James Bond. It’s not all lovely framing though, as Johnson looks about 5 feet tall in his photo. Oh well, every ointment has its fly.

Let’s hope they all get a chance to party and let their hair down a bit in the next couple of weeks. The Last Jedi is seriously bold for a Star Wars movie and is packed full of unexpected surprises. They certainly deserve a break for all their hard work, but their time away from the franchise won’t be too long, as Johnson is now working on his own trilogy and (most of) the rest of the cast are soon to reunite for the Episode IX shoot.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now screening across North America, where the sequel is expected to clear $200 million by Sunday. Those same forecasts also predicted a global haul in excess of $425 million, which is all the more impressive when you consider that the pic won’t open in China until January 6th.
