Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War

Iron Spider Arms Confirmed For Avengers: Infinity War?

Late last month, Marvel Studios blew the lid off Avengers: Infinity War to unveil a suitably epic teaser trailer teeming with Easter eggs, subtle callbacks, and costumed crusaders. It was enough to prompt a frame-by-frame analysis, and it's fair to say that moviegoers are still combing through Infinity War's historic preview, searching for any clues they can find that'll provide a hint of what's to come.

No wonder Peter Parker’s Spidey sense is tingling.

Late last month, Marvel Studios blew the lid off Avengers: Infinity War to unveil a suitably epic teaser trailer teeming with Easter eggs, subtle callbacks, and costumed crusaders. It was enough to prompt a frame-by-frame analysis, and it’s fair to say that moviegoers are still combing through Infinity War‘s historic preview, searching for any clues they can find that’ll provide a hint of what’s to come.

But beneath all of the sweeping action shots – from Wakanda to New York City, the promo is truly a globe-trotting affair – was an exciting peek at Spider-Man’s new suit. It is, essentially, the same one offered to Peter at the tail-end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, though we imagine Tony Stark has thrown in a few more bells and whistles to beef up the hero’s arsenal.

What exactly those extras will be we can’t say just yet, but what we can tell you is that it appears as if the Iron Spider suit will definitely come with its arms. Though the footage in the recent trailer didn’t feature them, a LEGO set leak from a few weeks back hinted that they might still be included. Now, thanks to a YouTube reviewer who’s got his hands on the real thing, it looks like it’s safe to say that the arms will making an appearance on Spidey’s new costume (skip to the 6:30 mark in the video below).

It’s important to note that merchandise and whatnot has been wrong in the past. Very often these companies manufacture their toys based on early designs/concept art for the film or simply just based on what they think they’ll see in it. We don’t have to tell you how many toy leaks have led fans to believe they’ll be seeing something on screen only to have it never appear (Black Suit Superman, anyone?). Still, there’s an overwhelming amount of evidence pointing to the Iron Spider suit having its arms in Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster and this new video would seem to confirm it.

It’s been a long time coming, but now, after 10 years and 17 films’ worth of build-up – Black Panther notwithstanding – Avengers: Infinity War is finally prepped and ready to deliver a huge climax on May 4th. The fight against the Mad Titan won’t end there, though, as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will assemble one final time the following year, on May 3rd, to take down Thanos once and for all.
