BTS Pic For Avengers: Infinity War Finds Mark Ruffalo In Mo-Cap Gear

Spoiler alert! Mark Ruffalo has shared a new pic from the set of Avengers: Infinity War, and this one sees the MCU stalwart in mo-cap gear.

After almost two years spent on the sidelines, Bruce Banner was finally given his due in last year’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Indeed, the wildly successful threequel signaled the beginning of a three-film arc for Marvel’s Hulk, one which will be threaded through the back-to-back release of Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel.

It’s not so much a trilogy as it is an extended, well-thought-out arc, but with Kevin Feige and Co. promising to deep dive into the relationship between Banner and his monstrous alter-ego, MCU fans can feel confident in the knowledge that Infinity War and Avengers 4 won’t undersell Marvel’s Jade Giant with a limited amount of screentime or, worse, an incoherent story.

Before we get swept up in Avengers: Infinity War and the mindboggling possibilities it brings, though, Mark Ruffalo himself has posted a new, tongue-in-cheek mirror selfie from the threequel’s set. It came bearing the caption: “spoiler alert…on set of #infinitywar stealing pics.”

Aside from the fact that Ruffalo is suited up in mo-cap gear, there’s not an awful lot we can glean from his newly-unveiled status report. We do know that Joe and Anthony Russo are in the process of putting the final touches to both Avengers 3 and 4 though, hence the onslaught of photos from the set.

Circling back to that ‘trilogy’, and here’s what Kevin Feige had to say in a recent interview about the Hulk’s MCU future:

Anything’s possible. It is something when we were talking to Mark about this movie and trying to get him excited and getting him to agree to be in this movie, I did pitch to him a potential, sort of three movie arc for the character starting with this and that is what we ended up doing. Now, I won’t say where it goes, but it’s the continuing evolution of the relationship between Banner and Hulk and you see a side of it here. There’s a great line. He [Banner] says, “it’s different this time, usually it feels like we both have a hand on the wheel, but this time he was driving and I was locked in the trunk.” Are they ever going to be able to resolve that?

Buoyed by the runaway success of Ragnarok, Hulk and Thor will go into Avengers: Infinity War with all guns glazing – mind you, the latter will enter the battle by way of the Guardians, who cross paths with Marvel’s God of Thunder soon after his initial encounter with Thanos.
