Another Justice League Deleted Scene Features Alfred’s First Encounter With The Gang

Alfred encounters the full Justice League for the very first time in this newly-unveiled deleted scene for Zack Snyder's epic.

A director’s cut of Justice League may be pie in the sky at this point, but that hasn’t stemmed the tide of deleted scenes.

With reports suggesting that Warner Bros. imposed a two-hour mandate on the Zack Snyder tentpole, thereby forcing WB video editors to rein in the supercharged mega-movie to only 119 minutes – a rather slight runtime by today’s standards – DC super-fans have taken it upon themselves to comb the Internet in the search of Justice League‘s cut content.

It’s a probe that continues unabated, too, and the latest slice of bonus content has arrived by way of Batman-News. And yes, you guessed it; it’s another Justice League deleted scene, only this time, we see Alfred (Jeremy Irons) gawk at the titular super-team as they descend upon the Batcave.

The League visits the Batcave. Alfred has humorous reactions to the League. Bruce Wayne talks about a “nightmare” he had. He believes that Steppenwolf will try and resurrect the power of Superman and “that they must do it first unless they want to fight an Evil Kryptonian too.”

That description was pulled from the full, exhaustive list of Justice League‘s deleted scenes, which also identifies those parts of the movie that were tweaked and/or fine-tuned as it approached the finish line.

Of course, once Zack Snyder stepped down in order to tend to a personal tragedy, Warner Bros. placed Justice League in the capable hands of two-time Avengers director Joss Whedon. That’s merely one wrinkle in the film’s storied production, and until the release of JL‘s Blu-ray (pre-order here), the search for bonus content – not to mention that fabled director’s cut – will continue to leave DC super-fans on red alert.

In news relating to the DC Extended Universe, Warner Bros. has now appointed Walter Hamada as the head of DC Films.
