Robert Downey Jr. Says The Best Is Yet To Come With Avengers: Infinity War

With 10 years and 17 films under its belt - soon to be 18 with Black Panther - the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought us a ton of memorable movies. Though not every release is a home run, anything that comes from the franchise is usually pretty enjoyable and while Kevin Feige and co. have been on fire lately, given the back to back to back success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok, apparently the best is still yet to come.

With 10 years and 17 films under its belt – soon to be 18 with Black Panther – the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought us a ton of memorable movies. Though not every release is a home run, anything that comes from the franchise is usually pretty enjoyable and while Kevin Feige and co. have been on fire lately, given the back to back to back success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok, apparently the best is still yet to come.

At least, that’s according to none other than Robert Downey Jr., who’s taken to Instagram once again this week to tease Avengers: Infinity War. Hopping on the social media platform, the actor posted the below photo along with the following caption: Hey Party People, I’m still doing my part to help shoulder the MCU,,, are you? Get ready, the best is yet to come… #represent #teamStark @marvelstudios @therealstanlee #alldaylong #theAteam #infinitywar #theAvengers

Of course, there’s nothing revealing here, and it’s a pretty similar shot to the last one Downey Jr. posted, but we’ll take what we can get. Besides, with only a handful of months to go before Joe and Anthony Russo’s superhero extravaganza touches down in theaters, it’s clear that the hype machine is starting to kick into gear now and it’s surely only a matter of time before Marvel really opens the floodgates.

There’s still the small matter of Black Panther to attend to – look for it to release on February 16th – but once that’s out of the way, the marketing blitz for Infinity War will truly begin and we couldn’t be more excited. Sure, the first trailer that Marvel dropped late last year was excellent, but it’s really about time we start seeing some more of what’s undoubtedly 2018’s biggest release. Wouldn’t you agree?

Avengers: Infinity War will blast into theaters on May 4th, and from that point on, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be forever changed.
