Colton Haynes Teases Upcoming Arrow Appearance With New Video

Arrow has a lot to prove with its sixth season. At one point, it was the hottest superhero show on television, but now it's got Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, The Gifted and Marvel Studios' various Defenders projects to contend with, among others. Perhaps that's why they're bringing back fan favorite character Roy Harper, who hasn't been seen in the series since 2016's 'Invasion!' event.

To mark his return to the Arrowverse, actor Colton Haynes posted a short video of himself on set (which you can check out at ComicBook.com), in which he’s apparently stolen Stephen Amell’s coat while he uses his Airstream trailer. Just judging from this clip, it certainly looks like a very cosy and stylish jacket – so I can see why he swiped it.

From what we understand, Haynes is set to make quite the return to the hit show, with a multi-episode arc centered around his relationship to the rest of the superheroes and his… complex situation with Thea Green. Producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle sound pretty hyped about it, too, saying:

“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year. Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences…”

Given that Oliver Queen is currently dealing with his secret identity potentially being revealed, it’s not difficult to see how Harper’s return could fit into the ongoing storylines. After all, it was Harper who suited up (and was subsequently arrested) as Green Arrow the last time that secret identity was looking a bit shaky.

Does him wearing Amell’s jacket hint that this is going to happen again, then? It’s hard to say, but at any rate, we’ll know soon enough, as Haynes’ outings on Arrow should air sometime in mid-March.
