More Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Images

With only a few months until The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits theatres, Sony has released a few more images for their Oscar hopeful film. We get a look at the film's two protagonists Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) and Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). With only a few months until The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits theatres, Sony has released a few more images for their Oscar hopeful film. We get a look at the film’s two protagonists Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) and Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara).

While we don’t gain much insight from these photos, there is one thing is to be said and that’s that Mara has nailed the character’s look. To be honest, she may even look more the part than Rapace did.

A lot of people had hesitations about Mara when it was first announced that she would take the role but personally, I think she looks perfect for it. In terms of her acting however, and how convincingly she’ll portray the character, that remains to be seen.

Truthfully, I have full faith in this remake. All you need to know is that David Fincher is directing. That is enough to get me into theatres. Hell, he could have Miley Cyrus in the lead role and I’d still be there on day one. Anything Fincher does, I trust. And with good reason. The man’s resume speaks for itself and you can bet that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be yet another impressive credit to his extraordinary filmography.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits theaters on December 21, 2011.
