Avengers Infinity War Captain America Falcon and Black Widow

Cap Leads The Way On This All-New Avengers: Infinity War Merchandise

ComicBook.com has uncovered yet another piece of merch for Avengers: Infinity War that places Captain America (Nomad?) front and center.
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Captain America, Steve Rogers, Nomad – whichever title he chooses to bear, we know Chris Evans’ star-spangled patriot is about to undergo a pretty radical transformation in Avengers: Infinity War.

Still licking his wounds – both physical and emotional – in the fallout of Captain America: Civil War, Rogers is a man operating on the fringes of society. Disillusioned by the level of corruption gnawing away at the U.S government, the Phase One Avenger ostensibly slips off the radar to become a solitary (and bearded!) vigilante. And so Nomad is born.

That being said, Joe and Anthony Russo have consistently played down reports that Captain America will be totally unrecognizable come Infinity War; instead, he’ll be “embracing the spirit” of Nomad, as he’s slowly coaxed back to the fray in time to fight Thanos and his malevolent Black Order.

Captain America First Avengers

All of this and more will inform his journey throughout Infinity War and its untitled sequel, but make no mistake, Steve Rogers is still very much considered to be a leader amongst his fellow heroes, as this newly-unveiled merchandise attests.

First spotted by ComicBook.com, this promotional piece (t-shirt?) caps off a busy week for Marvel’s marketing department, after scores of other Avengers-themed merch escaped onto the Internet (all of which we’ve included in the gallery below).

Exciting though that may be, comic book enthusiasts are still pining for some new Infinity War footage, and though it’ll likely turn out to be some extravagant set visit or behind-the-scenes promo, a new look at the Russo Brothers’ epic is expected to air later tonight, as Disney plans to showcase the heroes of 2018 – namely Incredibles 2, A Wrinkle in Time, Avengers: Infinity War.

Keep it locked on We Got This Covered, as we’ll be bringing you full coverage of Disney’s special promo the moment it appears online.
