In just a few hours, Arrow will return from the recent hiatus it was forced to endure thanks to the 2018 Winter Olympics. And when it does, we’ll finally be able to pick up after that memorable cliffhanger which saw Ricardo “The Dragon” Diaz murder Cayden James, likely revealing himself as this season’s true big bad.

But before the heroes of Star City can fully turn their attention toward Diaz, it looks like they’ll have to sort out their own affairs first. If you’ve been keeping up with the series, you don’t need us to tell you how Team Arrow has been fractured down the center, with the old guard and the newbies going about their separate ways.

Of course, we know that the Black Siren issue will light the fuse to this proverbial powder keg, with a freshly released clip (via TV Line) showing us how the big donnybrook will kickoff. In it, Oliver Queen and Dinah Drake argue over what to do with Earth-2’s Laurel Lance, thus letting this exchange of words serve as the opening salvo.

As the war of words heats up, I can’t help but commend the writers for being able to present compelling arguments for both sides. Furthermore, it’ll likely inspire the ongoing debate as to whether Black Siren can truly be redeemed to continue. To be honest, we can see it going either way, but I’m personally holding out hope that she become a force for good.
