AMC Theatres have just received their new displays for the upcoming Deadpool 2, which prominently features the superhero’s enormous D. That’s right folks, it’s a dick joke.

The display shows off the Merc with a Mouth coquettishly cocking his leg around the giant D and giving cinemagoers the best ‘come hither’ seductive expression he can muster, which is quite impressive given that he’s wearing a full head mask. It also confirms the official title of Deadpool 2, which is, uh, Deadpool 2. I guess if it works, it works.

Anyways, check it out in the gallery down below:

The original Deadpool came out of nowhere in 2016, defying grim box office forecasts, an unpromising February release date and an R-rating to become a genuine cultural phenomenon, ending up as one of the highest grossing films of the year and picking up two Critics’ Choice Award wins and two Golden Globe nominations.

Then again, after umpteen po-faced superhero movies audiences were clearly ready for someone to poke some fun at the Marvel formula. So, it’s to no one’s surprise that the sequel looks to be continuing in precisely the same vein, with Ryan Reynold’s Wade Wilson partnering up with Josh Brolin’s grimacing ultra-gritty Cable.

Of course, comedy sequels are notoriously tricky to get right, but after some absolutely hilarious trailers I’ve got a feeling that Deadpool 2 is set to be a worthy one. The only fear was that it’d be squashed by the all-conquering Avengers: Infinity War. But now that that film’s release date has been brought back a weekDeadpool 2 has a little bit more room to breathe. And we’ll find out just how well it performs on May 18th, when the Merc and his big D swing back into cinemas.
