Forest Whitaker Has A Good Idea Of How He Could Return In Black Panther 2

By now, you probably don't need us to tell you how great of a movie Black Panther is, or of what a pop culture phenomenon it's become. Really, it's already hit the billion dollar mark after four weeks of release and could very well continue breaking box office records before its run expires.

So, if you’ve seen it, then you’re well aware that the various elements contributing to its success weren’t limited to stunning visual effects and kick-ass action sequences. Actually, the film had much depth, be it in the form of a dynamite script, a three-dimensional villain in Killmonger, and an all-star cast that included the likes of Forest Whitaker, among others.

Speaking of which, when the scene in which Whitaker’s character of Zuri was killed arrived, you knew that director Ryan Coogler and company weren’t fooling around. Killing off someone played by a veteran actor is a bold move, even if it services the story well.

Still, there remains the possibility of Zuri’s return, and Whitaker has a pretty solid idea as to how it could take place:

“I guess I would be like an Obi-Wan Kenobi, you know, who comes back, he talks from the ancestral plane to give advice to T’Challa. Chadwick’s amazing in the film. Ryan Coogler’s done such an amazing job, so proud to be in it.”

That’s actually how we’d guess the filmmakers will go about it if indeed Whitaker’s schedule permits him to make a return. Already, Marvel Studios are said to be in the earliest of planning phases for Black Panther 2, so we imagine this is a topic the powers that be could be discussing. Either way, it’s sure to be a blockbuster no matter who’ll be orbiting lead actor Chadwick Boseman.
