James Gunn’s Seen Avengers: Infinity War, Says It’s Incredible

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has seen Avengers: Infinity War and promises that it's going to be incredible.

At this point, Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War doesn’t need anymore hype. Everyone and their grandmother is going to be there opening night, and quite possibly a few more times over opening weekend as well, if early box office forecasts are any indication. But just in case you needed one more endorsement, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is here to offer just that.

Given that Star-Lord and co. are set to cross paths with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the pic, it stands to reason that Gunn was probably fairly involved in the production, and now that he’s seen a final cut of Infinity War, he’s taken to Twitter to share his thoughts. Though the beloved filmmaker wouldn’t give away any juicy spoilers, he did say that the upcoming event movie is incredible.

“Avengers Infinity War is INCREDIBLE. Wow!!!! And that’s all I’ll say for the time being,” Gunn Tweeted.

Now, you could say that obviously Gunn’s going to hype up Infinity War, given how involved he is with Marvel. And while that is true, the director’s usually a straight shooter and is known for being candid and truthful on social media, never afraid to speak his mind. So, if he says we’re in for a treat with the MCU’s next effort, then there’s really no reason not to believe him. Besides, has Marvel given us any reason to doubt them yet?

With Avengers: Infinity War already breaking records, and hype at ridiculously high levels, it looks like the studio’s truly pulled off the herculean task of cooking up a conclusion to a story that’s been 10 years in the making. Of course, we’ll reserve final judgement until the lights go down in theaters on April 27th, but as of now, we’re feeling pretty confident that this is going to be the biggest – and quite possibly – most entertaining film of the year.
