Thanks to A Quiet Place, we’ve been given some assurance that it’s not just Blumhouse Productions who’ll have the horror market cornered in 2018.

Having already created substantial buzz with its recent trailers, not to mention its premiere at SXSW, this supernatural thriller looks like it may prove to be a real sleeper hit and one of the year’s biggest surprises. And now, thanks to a new clip (seen above), we’ve been given even more reason to check it out once it hits theaters next month – on April 6th, to be exact.

For those unfamiliar with A Quiet Place, John Krasinski and his real life wife, Emily Blunt, play characters who live on a remote farm with their children – and there’s the matter that they can’t make a sound or else they’ll attract the attention of a supernatural entity. Communicating through hand gestures and the like, it should be most intriguing to see what the threat actually is and how these people got here.

In the clip we’ve got for you today, we see the family trying to cross a bridge, with all going well until a toy airplane that a child’s playing with starts making some noise. With the silence now broken, Krasinski rushes towards the youngster as his wife looks on, terrified. Before we get to see if he’s too late, the film’s tagline flashes across the screen: If they hear you, they hunt you.

In case you missed it, our very own Matt Donato had the chance to catch A Quiet Place at the aforementioned South by Southwest Festival and concluded the following about it:

John Krasinski orchestrates a loud and ferocious symphony of sonic scares that will assert this as one of the year’s most terrorizing films.

With a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes – at the time of writing – it really does look like this will be one of the genre’s finest offerings for 2018 and we can’t wait to see it for ourselves when A Quiet Place sneaks into theaters next month, on April 6th.
