Gotham Synopses Hint At More To Come With Jerome And League Of Shadows

If anything, last night's episode of Gotham really set the stage for what the remainder of season 4 shall bring. Now that Sofia Falcone is seemingly out of the way, we're free to focus on Jerome Valeksa and his band of freaks making the city their playground, as well as whatever else is on the horizon for the League of Shadows. To be honest, we can't rule out those paths converging, but we'll get back to that idea a bit later.

Now that Sofia Falcone is seemingly out of the way, we’re free to focus on Jerome Valeksa and his band of freaks making the city their playground, as well as whatever else is on the horizon for the League of Shadows. For now, though, we’ll treat them as distinctly different plot threads, but it looks like both will make up the wealth of April 12’s episode, “A Dark Knight: That’s Entertainment.” And judging by the title, it sounds like Jerome and his pals are set to put on quite a show, as the likes of Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze and Firefly are also expected to make appearances.

Here’s more of what to expect that week:

The Arkham inmates are still running freely in Gotham and they’re only getting more difficult to catch. Gordon develops a plan, but reluctantly has to turn to Bruce for help. Meanwhile, Barbara finds out just how far her new friends are willing to go for her in the all-new “A Dark Knight: That’s Entertainment” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

As you can see, this jazz involving Barbara Kean being the new Demon’s Head will continue playing out in not only that episode, but on April 19 in “A Dark Knight: To Our Deaths and Beyond.” In this instance, Jerome and company will take the week off, but we expect much more to develop with the League of Shadows soon, especially since Shiva Kalaiselvan returns as Lelia, who supports the idea of a more female-centric cabal.

For more on that front, check out this description:

Gordon and Bullock try to figure out who the clever thief is behind the robberies of various bank branches in Gotham. Meanwhile, Barbara is put in danger, forcing Tabitha to recruit help in the all-new “A Dark Knight: To Our Deaths and Beyond” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Circling back to what we said earlier, it just doesn’t seem likely that Gotham City is big enough for both the League of Shadows and the Legion of Horribles. Thus, we do expect their paths to cross, possibly leading to Jerome bathing in a Lazarus Pit before becoming the Joker. After all, leaked set photos showed his face to be lacking any sort of scarring, so that’s definitely one way to solve that problem.

Gotham airs on Thursday nights on Fox.
