Emily Blunt as Sue Storm

MCU Fan Art Imagines John Krasinski, Emily Blunt And More As The Fantastic Four

BossLogic's latest fan art imagines John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Zac Efron and John Cena playing the Fantastic Four in the MCU.

With Disney set to merge with 20th Century Fox, the Fantastic Four will soon return home. But who should play Marvel’s First Family if/when they’re rebooted as part of the MCU? Well, quite recently, John Krasinski put his name forward to play Reed Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic, which is an idea that fans have really taken to. Who could join Krasinski, though, and portray the rest of the team? That’s a good question, and thankfully, digital artist BossLogic has got us covered.

The talented fan’s created several images which highlight his choices for an MCU Fantastic Four. As well as Krasinski, you have Emily Blunt as Sue Storm AKA Invisible Woman, Zac Efron as Johnny Storm AKA Human Torch and John Cena as Ben Grimm AKA The Thing.

We have to say, these are some fine casting choices from BossLogic. All four are actors who’ve circled superhero movies before, for one thing, which makes it plain that they’re due a Marvel role. Specifically, Krasinski was up for Captain America before Chris Evans got the coveted part, Emily Blunt was in line to play Black Widow until she dropped out and Efron and Cena have been rumoured to be in running for DC heroes such as Nightwing and Shazam in the past.

In particular, we really like the idea of, yes, Krasinski as Reed as well as Blunt as Sue Storm. Apart from the actors’ on-screen charisma and their tried-and-tested mettle as action heroes (in the likes of Jack Ryan and Edge of Tomorrow, respectively), the pair would have a lot of chemistry as one of Marvel’s most famous couples. They are married in real life, after all. Something that both the 2005 and 2015 movies failed in was serving up a believable Richards/Storm romance, so an MCU Fantastic Four would need to fix that.

While this is all well and good, we probably shouldn’t get too excited just yet. Going by Fox’s upcoming slate of X-Men movies, Marvel Studios won’t get to play with the X-Men and Fantastic Four until after 2020. Still, they are on the way and if you have any casting suggestions of your own, be sure to drop them in the usual place below.
