April 15th, 2018 will be a day long remembered by fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

For starters, it’ll signal the explosive finale of the show’s eighth season, while also marking the long-anticipated return of its sister series, Fear The Walking Dead, which is now on the verge of season 4. And it’s shaping up to be a doozy, no thanks to the impending arrival of one Morgan Jones.

But before we get swept up in talk of synergy and exciting crossovers, it’s important to note that AMC have officially deemed April 15th to be Survival Sunday, when The Walking Dead season 8 finale and the Fear the Walking Dead season 4 premiere will be airing back-to-back (not to mention screening in theaters, too). So again, it’s going to be one heck of a night for fans and now, to hype it up even more, the network’s released the above promo, teasing us with what’s about to go down.

As for Morgan’s big crossover, AMC’s official synopsis reveals it as unfolding as so:

We will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes, and threats. They fight for each other, against each other, and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven all crashing together towards a new reality

True to the old saying of one door closing just as another begins to open, The Walking Dead season 8 will end on the same day that Fear The Walking Dead season 4 begins: April 15th. It’ll forever be known as Survival Sunday, and we can hardly wait to tune in.
