Amunet Black Returns In New Images From The Flash

As per usual, the Arrowverse has opened up the DC Universe to a broader audience in the past year by introducing a fresh batch of characters to the mainstream. In the case of The Flash, we've met the likes of the Thinker, the Elongated Man and Amunet Black, to name but a few of the more memorable ones. And that's what's cool about the TV side of things: We get to meet all kinds of heroes and villains that the movies will likely never have the time to get around to presenting.

Speaking of Amunet, we’ll be talking about her quite a bit today. That’s because she features prominently in the images promoting May 8’s episode, “Harry and the Harrisons,” which is also set to see the return of the Council of Wells, something I found to be the campiest thing season 4 has thus far yielded.

With that, I’m glad the villainess is the primary focus in the accompanying gallery. And as you can see, she’s dressed a little more casually than usual in most of the photos on hand. Perhaps she’s been laying low since Clifford DeVoe massacred and stole powers from a handful of metahuman inmates at Iron Heights?

Also of note is that Amunet looks to be sharing some scenes with Caitlin Snow, which forces us to believe that the latter sought out the former in order to receive help in reacquiring her Killer Frost abilities. As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.

For more, be sure to check out the official synopsis:

THE TEAM TURNS TO AMUNET BLACK FOR HELP — With DeVoe’s Enlightenment device nearly complete, in order to disable it The Flash (Grant Gustin) and his team must put their faith in an unlikely ally — Amunet Black (guest star Kattee Sackhoff [sic]). Meanwhile, Harry (Tom Cavanagh) hits an all-time low when the “Council of Wells” kicks him out but then Cisco (Carlos Valdes) introduces him to the “Council of Harrisons.” Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & Lauren Certo (#421). Original airdate 5/8/2018.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
