Captain Marvel Logo Gets A Slight Upgrade

Ahead of its release next March, Captain Marvel has received a very slight upgrade to its official logo, which you can check out here.

With all the excitement swirling around Avengers: Infinity War at the moment, you might be forgiven for forgetting that production on Captain Marvel is beginning to heat up. Then again, if you sat through the credits of the aforementioned team-up pic, you’re probably pretty eager for anything and everything related to Miss Danvers right now.

Originally tipped for an appearance in Infinity War – word is the Russo Brothers filmed scenes involving Brie Larson’s heroine, only to shelve them at the 11th hour – the hero is now expected to make her MCU debut next March after being teased in the post-credits scene of Avengers 3.

Her solo film boasts a who’s who of Hollywood talent and a deeply nostalgic 1990s setting, leading us to believe it has all the makings of a special, ground-breaking expansion of the MCU, and as it continues to head through production, we’re starting to get more and more updates, like this slight alteration to the movie’s official logo, which simply adds a planet behind the text. It’s not much, but it does give it more of a cosmic feel, don’t you think?

On the casting front, co-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have assembled a stellar line-up, including Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Colin Ford, Kenneth Mitchell, Clark Gregg and Jude Law as a tweaked version of the famous Mar-Vell.

Captain Marvel takes flight on March 8th, 2019 – three months before the grand release of Avengers 4. And if you’re wondering where Carol Danvers has been this entire time, we have a few theories of our own
