Morena Baccarin as Selina Kyle? What about the Gotham City botanist Pamela Lillian Isley?

Turns out it’s not out of the question. Because if the stars align and Warner Bros. decide to cast the current Deadpool favorite as either Catwoman (Kyle) or Poison Ivy (Isley), she wouldn’t think twice about putting pen to paper as she tends to “identify more with the villains.”

With DC team-up projects like Gotham City Sirens and the Margot Robbie-fronted Birds of Prey movie already gestating in development, Morena Baccarin was asked about the possibility of a starring role in the DC Extended Universe during a recent interview with Cinepop (h/t Screen Rant), at which point she name-dropped two of the most famous DC villains in Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

Gotham City Sirens

And Baccarin needn’t be restricted to either Gotham City Sirens and Birds of Prey, as Warner Bros. is also spearheading The Batman and a sequel to Suicide Squad, two projects that will likely have strong ties to Gotham City and the Caped Crusader, in general.

So perhaps Morena Baccarin will get her shot at some point? The actress has already gained a vast amount of experience in the DC universe thanks to her ongoing role in Gotham, where she plays Lee Thompkins, the former medical practitioner with ties to Arkham Asylum.

Then again, Warner Bros. is likely casting the net far and wide in their search for Catwoman, particularly when you consider that Riley Keough (The Girlfriend Experience, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West) have previously been linked to Poison Ivy and Selina Kyle, respectively.

But what say you? Do you believe Morena Baccarin fits the bill as Catwoman? Or would you prefer another actress to come in and headline, say, Gotham City Sirens alongside Margot Robbie? You can, as always, share your thoughts and predictions via the usual place.
