In case you were worried, Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that Batman: Arkham City will indeed release under the Games For Windows Live banner. This released statement comes after retailer Green Man Gaming created a stir by mentioning that the game would not use the service’s DRM encoding.

This news confirms that PC gamers looking to enter Batman’s world will once again be able to unlock achievements on their XBOX Live accounts. That’s certainly good news for my fellow achievement addicts.

Batman: Arkham City will be released on October 18th for the XBOX 360, PS3 and PC. Gamers across the pond in the UK will be able to beat up baddies as the Caped Crusader on October 21.
