Relive The Nightmare With HD Screenshots From The Halloween Trailer

Bloody Disgusting has returned from Haddonfield bearing gifts – specifically a slew of HD trailer shots from Blumhouse's Halloween.

Michael Myers is heading home – all the way to Haddonfield, where he hopes to encounter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis).

However, this time around, it’s Laurie who holds the advantage. For 40 years, she’s sharpened her skills in the hope that one day – one day – she’ll be able to bring an end to the Michael Myers saga, and this Halloween, she’ll get the opportunity she’s longed for.

That is, in a nutshell, the gist of Blumhouse’s sequel, and providing you haven’t been sleeping under a rock, you’ll have no doubt laid eyes on the film’s unsettling teaser trailer. There’s certainly a lot to digest, too, including the decision to scrap Michael and Laurie’s sibling subplot so that David Gordon Green was able to work with a relatively blank slate – even if the director promises to harken back to the Halloween sequels of old.

And now, to complete the one-two punch from this morning’s trailer reveal, Bloody Disgusting has uncovered a slew of screenshots that allow you to relive the nightmare of Haddonfield, 2018 edition.

And Myers? He’s perhaps the ultimate boogeyman; a one-man wrecking ball capable of bringing an entire town to its knees, as Green tells Dread Central:

He’s the essence of evil, so we don’t want to get too much into the specifics of what makes him tick. So much of what makes the boogeyman horrifying to me is the mystery and almost cat-like mannerisms and curiosity of this character.

Horror comes home when Halloween opens big on October 19th. Aside from Hereditary, it’s arguably one of the most buzzworthy genre films of 2018, so we’re intrigued to find out how viewers old and new react to Michael Myers and his second coming.
