Infinity War Screenwriters Offer Status Report On Avengers 4

Even though it's been almost two months since Infinity War first arrived in theaters, diehard True Believers and casual moviegoers everywhere are still talking about the film's pivotal ending that saw Thanos snuff out half the universe's population with a mere snap of his fingers - including some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It's no wonder that this became the first superhero flick to surpass the $2 billion mark, given that people are likely flocking back to cinemas in order to comb for more details.

That said, anticipation for Avengers 4 has reached critical mass, despite the followup being almost a year away. Of course, those who know how it’ll conclude are few and far between, with perhaps only select members of cast and crew being privy to the outcome. Well, that is unless you happen to be within earshot of Chris Pratt and your name is Bryce Dallas Howard.

Naturally, a few of the people who are also in on the secret are that of screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Chris Markus, both of whom recently appeared on a live taping of Kevin Smith’s Fat Man on Batman podcast. And when asked about their next time reporting for duty, Markus succinctly answered with “Tomorrow at 11 o’clock.”

McFeely, however, elaborated a bit more, saying:

“Status of Avengers 4 is that we shot it but it’s not due for a while. There’s time for reshoots and fixing and we’re just scrubbing through it now. The Russo brothers have been in there for a few weeks now after the press tour and all that. And the whole team is getting together tomorrow.”

Considering that Avengers 4 isn’t due in theaters until May 3, 2019, that’s pretty much what we were expecting to hear. Knowing how much of a priority this movie is for Marvel Studios and Disney as a whole, it stands to reason that it’ll receive any sort of polish it requires in the comings months, including some additional photography.

As always, keep watching this space for more.
