Tom Holland Jokes About Spidey’s Death In Avengers: Infinity War

What with the creation and dispersing of fake scripts, NDAs, and potentially hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that we’re all just trafficking in movies. Nonetheless, it’s refreshing to see high profile talent take their job a little less seriously. Case in point: this week’s Twitter interaction between Tom Holland and J.A. Bayona.

Bayona.

A few days back, Entertainment Weekly posted an article to the social media platform regarding the plot of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Apparently, the film’s director, Bayona, revealed the storyline to Tom Holland during production on The Impossible, a 2012 drama/thriller on which the two collaborated.

As a result, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star knew how the fifth Jurassic Park instalment would play out before his Avengers: Infinity War co-star, Chris Pratt, did – who actually stars in the prehistoric blockbuster, mind you.

In response to the Tweet, Bayona called-out Holland, saying, “that was supposed to be a secret. You’re a weasel!” To which Holland replied, “I just got so excited. This is exactly why Marvel won’t tell me the plots anymore.”

Bayona then jokingly inferred that he knew the plot of Holland’s second solo feature as the titular web-slinger, saying “don’t worry, man. I’m not telling anyone anything about Spider-Man 2…” To which Holland hilariously pointed out, “what do you mean Spiderman 2? Didn’t you see Avengers? #idontwannago.”

By now, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion which member of the MCU is the least trustworthy: Tom Holland. However, that notion was cast in doubt yesterday when Star-Lord, AKA Chris Pratt, revealed that he not only discussed Avengers 4 with his Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom co-star Bryce Dallas Howard, but the daughter of two-time Academy Award winner Ron Howard also knows how the fourth supergroup installment will end. We wonder what Marvel will have to say about that when they find out.
