Awesome Marvel Fan Art Imagines Chris Hemsworth As Loki

If you're an MCU fan, you might be familiar with the fact that Tom Hiddleston initially auditioned for the role of Thor. He wasn't deemed a right fit for the God of Thunder, but someone had the bright idea to cast him as Loki, Thor's mischievous brother, instead and the rest is Marvel history. But what if there's a parallel universe out there where this was reversed, and Chris Hemsworth got to play Loki?

That’s what digital artist Boss Logic has imagined in his latest piece of Marvel fan art. Standing in front of the Avengers logo, the Hemsworth-Loki is based on the post-Ragnarok Thor and sports short hair but with a thicker, darker beard. His armor is fairly similar to Thor’s typical outfit but it’s given a few Loki-esque twists, including a black color scheme and the green cape over his left shoulder. Built into his right shoulder, meanwhile, is a kind of epaulet that resembles Loki’s helmet.

The responses to Boss Logic’s post on Twitter see a lot of fans calling for this to be Thor’s outfit in next year’s Avengers 4. Having made peace with Loki in Ragnarok, the God of Thunder was on good terms with his brother at the start of Avengers: Infinity War, but this end to their sibling rivalry didn’t last long as Thanos soon came along and seemingly murdered the God of Mischief for good. Thor was pretty cut up about the loss, too, so it’s possible that he could incorporate a homage to his brother into his look in the future.

Not that Loki‘s definitely gone for good, mind you. There are many theories about how Hiddleston’s character could be resurrected, including one outlandish one that suggests Bruce Banner’s Loki in disguise. A more in-depth one, meanwhile, comes from the all-but-confirmed rumor that Avengers 4 will see the heroes go back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones from their own personal history. Either way, the answers will all be revealed on May 3rd.
