It must be said, cult horror director Rob Zombie has been doing a pretty effective job at keeping us in the loop and invested in the production of the upcoming 3 from Hell, all while keeping plot details tantalizingly vague.
The steady stream of information continues today with another Instagram post featuring a trio of smartly dressed men on the set of the long-awaited follow-up to 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses and 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects. Seen in the gallery below, it came accompanied with the following caption: Another Three From Hell exclusive! The suits are always dealing with The Rejects insanity. Featuring in this shot Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams and @jeffdanielphillips.
Since it’s already been heavily implied that a legal trial will be a key point of focus in the movie, it’s safe to assume that these men will be dealing with the criminal case of 3 from Hell‘s titular psychos. That’d be Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) and Otis (Bill Moseley), who are apparently still living and breathing after being involved in a pretty brutal police shootout at the end of Rejects.
As well as being rather generous with the volume of behind the scenes pics he’s brought us so far, Rob Zombie also treated us to the film’s first poster a few days ago, which features a typically unhinged-looking Otis flipping the bird. Don’t be surprised if Baby and Spaulding get their own prints very soon, too.
3 from Hell will also star Danny Trejo, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace and Dot-Marie Jones. Though an official release date has yet to be announced, expect the movie to hit theaters around mid-2019. And when it does, Moseley has assured us that our “mindsies are gonna be big time blown,” but until then, we’ll at least have plenty more teaser material to savor from Rob Zombie’s Instagram.
