The ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a topic of great discussion of late, what with Ant-Man and the Wasp poised to follow in the footsteps of Avengers: Infinity War.

Indeed, the latter MCU pic proved to be a defining expansion of the MCU, as it set the stage for a truly monumental sequel in the form of Avengers 4. But beyond 2019, what can we expect from Marvel’s lucrative juggernaut?

Spider-Man: Far From Home is already on the cards, while head honcho Kevin Feige recently reminded fans that Marvel plans to wait until after the release of Avengers 4 before it divulges details of Phase 4. And frankly, that’s okay, as it would be foolish for Marvel Studios to overshadow Ant-Man and the Wasp ahead of its debut early next month.

Speaking of which, Feige is currently in the midst of press rounds for the teeny-tiny sequel, and it was here when Heroic Hollywood took a moment to quiz the Marvel boss about the possibility of a Young Avengers movie, to which he replied:

Well…sure. And both of those you just mentioned we talked about for a long time and they went over to be successful TV shows. We’ve always been fans of Power Pack and figuring that out. And yes. So…where and when we would see the evolution of that? I don’t know. And certainly – taking our cue from the comics as we always do – that’s why we wanted Cassie, a very young Cassie in this movie, to be inspired by her father. Just planting seeds.

Planting seeds, you say? Perhaps this is a sure-fire sign that Cassie has a sizeable role to play during Avengers 4? Whatever the case, Kevin Feige’s comments can be construed as a potential glimpse into the MCU’s future, given Black Panther almost introduced a Young Avenger in the form of Elijah Bradley (AKA Patriot).

This, coupled with the ongoing success of shows like Runaways and Cloak And Dagger, tells us that it’s really only a matter of time before audiences are flocking to their local theater to see Young Avengers on the big screen. Watch this space for more.
