Avengers: Infinity War’s Rocket Raccoon And Black Panther Pose For An Epic Selfie

T’Challa - whose solo feature, the aptly titled Black Panther, is perched atop the MCU domestic chart at nearly $700 million - and Rocket - who despite not being able to boast about his own standalone film, can at least find solace in the fact he survived Thanos and the snap of doom - never got the chance to share the screen in Avengers: Infinity War, before the king of Wakanda, was unfortunately dusted.

Given that some forty-odd Marvel heroes, villains and characters appear in Avengers: Infinity War, there’s bound to be those who don’t share the screen for any amount of time. Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) are two such dramatis personae.

T’Challa – whose solo feature, the aptly titled Black Panther, is perched atop the MCU domestic chart at nearly $700 million – and Rocket – who despite not being able to boast about his own standalone film, can at least find solace in the fact he survived Thanos and the Snap of Doom – never got the chance to share the screen in Infinity War before the king of Wakanda was unfortunately dusted.

To make up for the lost opportunity, though, Chadwick Boseman and Rocket posed for a selfie, which the former shared on his official Instagram with the caption: “He kept asking for a selfie. @prattprattpratt come get your boy. #Avengers #FBF” Seeing as Infinity War and Avengers 4 went through production simultaneously, it’ll be nearly impossible to decipher during which film the image in question was captured, but it puts a smile on our face nonetheless.

Of course, this isn’t the first behind the scenes sneak peek we’ve been granted from the fourth ticket booth titan ever to conquer the elusive $2 billion plateau. Last month, MCU News & Tweets shared a behind the scenes look at the production of Infinity War, which saw Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Joe and Anthony Russo sharing a laugh while watching the playback of footage from the battle of Wakanda.

Circling back to Black Panther and Rocket Raccoon, though, and we fully expect to see the furry rodent back in action next year when the remaining Avengers look to stop Thanos by any means necessary. As for T’Challa, however, his future isn’t so clear, unfortunately.
