Alleged Photo Of Superman From Zack Snyder’s Cut Of Justice League Surfaces

One day, I'm hoping that Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League sees release on home video, not just because I'd like to enjoy it for myself, but also due to the fact that I'd like to see the endless debate on whether it exists finally come to an end. Sure, it may not exist in its purest form because the studio had their mitts deep into the production once cameras started rolling, but everything shot under the auteur's watch is indeed lying around somewhere.

One day, I’m hoping that Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League sees release on home video, not just because I’d like to enjoy it for myself, but also due to the fact that I’d like to see the endless debate on whether it exists finally come to an end. Sure, it may not exist in its purest form because the studio had their mitts deep into the production once cameras started rolling, but everything shot under the auteur’s watch is indeed lying around somewhere.

Being a longtime fan of DC-based movies myself, I find it strangely humorous that WB got themselves into a situation parallel to what went down with Superman II decades beforehand, but the film industry is always full of surprises.

So, while we ponder the possibilities, Felix Mitchell, a known advocate for the Snyder cut’s release, has supposedly gotten his hands on a still taken from Zack’s time spent on the flick. Originally having been posted on Twitter, the image can be viewed below.

From the look of it, Henry Cavill’s mouth hasn’t been overtaken by CGI as it had in many shots included in the final cut, so it’s possible this is the real deal. On the other hand, much of the orange seen in the third act was added once Joss Whedon was brought aboard, for Snyder’s finale was much darker in appearance. But seeing as how we’re merely discussing some embers behind Superman, anything’s possible.

That said, it’d be nice if someone such as storyboard artist Jay Oliva – or even Snyder himself – could chime in soon enough to confirm or debunk this newest exhibit. As you know, Zack likes spending lots of time on Vero sharing goodies from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, so it may be just a matter of time before we hear something. Fingers crossed, eh?
