Thanos in Avengers Infinity War

Did Thanos’ Snap In Avengers: Infinity War Kill Any Animals?

By now, I imagine that either you or someone you know will let the deaths of humans in movies slide, but you're more than ready to jump inside the screen and exact terrible vengeance if one brings harm to a dog, cat, or any other sort of four-legged friend.

Keeping that in mind, we’ll further examine Thanos’ decision to indiscriminately snuff out half of all life in the universe during the closing moments of Avengers: Infinity War. As we’ve come to know, anything walking upright wasn’t immune to the Mad Titan’s snap, but what of fur babies and the like?

Clearing up this matter was Marvel Studios’ own Kevin Feige, who confirmed the horror while speaking with Birth.Movies.Death.:

“Yes! Yes. All life.”

Actually, by answering with “all life,” Feige only raises more questions. By going to that extreme, that must mean half of all plants, fungi and bacteria were eliminated along with livestock. Taking that into consideration, wouldn’t you say that’s counterproductive to Thanos’ goal of making sure there are enough resources to go around?

Now, I’m not going to get waist-deep in a discussion regarding Infinity War plot holes because there are enough to warrant a twelve-volume series, but this reaffirms the notion that the Mad Titan could’ve just doubled all resources in the universe once he united the Infinity Stones. Really, you’d think Paul W.S. Anderson wrote the Swiss cheese that was the screenplay, but I digress.

If anything, this is just another example of having to not think too much about Avengers: Infinity War‘s happenings if you’re to get maximum enjoyment out of the picture once it arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on August 14th.
